Glovebox handle repair part. This is the handle only that attaches to the original latching mechanism. Version WITHOUT the lock. OEM 51161848873 ______________ Attaches using two M4 screws. Accomodates a generic spring. The spring is not absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, I dont have the original spring in order to measure it. There is an opening in the back which accomodates a 5x16 shaft (the same one as used on prusa printers such as MK2, MMU2 Idler etc.). This shaft is crucial as a metal element slides on it. If printed from plastic only, it would wear down quickly. Ask me how I know :D After a lot of trial and error, the shaft is positioned at an angle to mitigate mechanism wear, compared to the original bmw part. The shaft is a tight fit and has to be pressed / hammered in. I am using needle-nose pliers to press it in. Lubricate the mechanism before assembly ;) The other part of the mechanism can be bought from Aliexpress, as well as the handle version intended to be used with the lock.
