carcadindex ("we", "us") operates the website at carcadindex.com. This page describes what we collect from visitors and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address and username. When you submit a part, we store the submission details and link them to your account.

When you contact us through the inquiry form, we store the topic, your email address, your subject, and your message.

When you use the search feature, we log the search query, the source filter (if any), the number of results returned, the timestamp, and the IP address the request came from. This helps us understand what people are looking for, identify gaps in our catalog, and detect abuse. We do not associate search logs with your account.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how people use the site. This includes anonymous data like page views, browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address. We do not sell this data.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in. Analytics tools may also set cookies to track anonymous usage patterns.

Third parties

Your data is stored on Neon (database) and Cloudflare R2 (images). Transactional emails are sent through Resend. We do not share your personal information with anyone else, except as required by law.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the account page. This removes your login so you can re-register with the same email later. Submissions you made stay indexed on the site under an anonymous record so the catalog remains intact.

Children

carcadindex is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were last made.
