BMW M10 DTM Airbox (Weber DCOE 40)

Make your BMW M10 roar like M3 S14 DTM! Fits the Weber DCOE / DCOM 40 carburetors spaced as on the ebay adaptor for the BMW M10 engine. Apart from some air filtering capabilities, it gives your car an insane BMW E30 M3 DTM-like sound. Fits the BMW E21 constrained engine bay: clears the battery, oil dip stick, brake fluid reservoir and brake booster hose. I made this because I wasnt able to find a filterbox design that would fit the E21 due to its spatial limitations. _________________ The DTM3 is the final version I ended up using. The intake opening fits a 90mm ID foam air filter. The Filter funnel file can be used to manufacture your own filter, sufficient for 1.6 or 1.8L Stock engine. It is also available in quartered up version to be printable on smaller volume printers such as Prusa MK3 / MK4. The pieces are then glued and bolted together using M3x14 screws. The DTM V26 version is divided in two parts which slide onto each other. Good for experiments with the air inlet size and filters. The two parts can be then joined together using two M3x30 Allen bolts. The main DTM version fits 4" intake hose / filter. The DTM2 version can be printed in parts and bolted together using M3x20 screws. It has 90mm intake opening. The printable files contain also some experimental versions of the same manifold such as the extremely noisy one with the large filter opening. Other experimental variants include the one with smaller and larger volumes, one with the opening pointing above the alternator or straight to the front (where the battery usually is).
