Mazda MX5/Miata NB & NBFL - Ducktail Rear Spoiler - TRD Style

This is a Ducktail Rear Spoiler- TRD Style for a Mazda MX5 / Miata NB & NBFL (Mk2 & Mk2.5) from '98 - '05 that I designed. This was designed from a high quality 3D scan of the car so the part is a perfect fit for the boot lid. The spoiler is printed in different parts that are aligned together using a Dowel and then welded together using a 3D pen or molten plastic in a specific canal left in between each parts, this way you will ensure perfect bonding while maintaining structural integrity of the spoiler. The spoiler is cut down into sections for beds that can fit 205mm sections and 340mm sections. When you buy the design you'll have access to the V1 and the latest design with the canal's included. The process I used to assemble this spoiler was: 1 - Print all the pieces and dowels, assemble. 2 - Using a 3D pen, weld all the pieces together 3 - Sand down until you have a relatively smooth surface with no super high points 4 - Apply a thin layer of bondo or if you have already quite a smooth surface apply Spray Body Filler/Primmer 5 - Sand until you achieve your desired surface finish 6 - Paint with your desired colour 7 - Clean the surface of the spoiler and the mating surface with Isopropyl alcool 99% 8 - Use double sided tape (ideally 3M VHB 5952) If you want to purchase the hardtop spoiler you see in the pictures, you can find it here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/mazda-mx5-miata-na-nb-hardtop-rear-spoiler
