BMW E30 shifter/gear knob

This is an OEM looking BMW E30 shifter/gear knob that fits into your E30 with ease.It has a peg in the middle so it doesn't rotate and a recess for the original BMW gear knob emblem, which is this part number 25111221611. I got this emblem through the original dealer. I have made two of these knobs and found out that the emblems may wary, the new emblem may need a bit of sanding on the edges, but it comes with a double sided tape on the back of it so you can just stick it onto the knob.Pay attention to the orientation of the emblem, because the peg isn't 90 deg with the emblem. The best is to put the knob in the car and just see how the emblem fits. The emblem is elipsoid so it only fits on way or the other. The knob is loose fit onto the gear shaft, so what I did is marked a position on the knob that faces the radio, so I don't see it, and about 6 - 7 mm above the bottom drilled a hole and tapped M5 thread. So I can put a set screw to lock the knob in place. After 4 months of testing, I can personally say that the shift knob and the set screw do the trick. The rest is on you.
