BMW Clutch Alignment Tool 10T

A tool for centering a clutch disc before installing the pressure plate. Insert the tool through the clutch disc. Add the pressure plate. Tighten the pressure plate while pressing the tool towards the crankshaft to get the disc centered. 15mm ID pilot bearing, 10teeth version. Optionally, use M8 threaded rod or a bolt as a handle. The end of the tool is slightly larger for an easier concentricity inspection. For older BMW models such as E21, E30, E36, up to the 5-speed E46. Engines such as M10, M20, M30, M40, M42, M43, M44, M50, M51, M52, M54 Note that some engines on E46 use SAC (self-adjusting clutch) pressure plate. For these, use the shorter version of the tool together with a threaded rod or bolt as a handle. Newer cars use the 26 tooth version instead. In the pictures section, there is a picture of the OEM factory tool for a comparison.
