Toyota Accessory Switch Cover

WHY THIS MODEL?One of the accessory switch covers in my Gen 2 1995 Toyota 4Runner had a broken tab. After searching for an OEM replacement, I found the cost to be anywhere from $12 to $35 US including shipping. I thought to myself it would be super-easy to reverse-engineer and print my own. So I did that and added some fun features that make those little accessory slots more useful. THE MODELSI’ve included several models that have features that may be useful to you:A blank accessory plate, same as the OEM versionAn accessory plate with a centered circular cutout (for pulling a charging cable through, for example)An accessory plate with a square cutout for custom rocker switch installationAn accessory plate with a deep box to hold pencils, pens, etcAn accessory plate with a shallow box to hold smaller items PRINTING TIPSI strongly recommend using PETG for several reasons: 1) it is stronger that PLA and there’s less of a chance you break off one of the press-fit tabs, and 2) it will withstand the summer heat inside the vehicle better.Ideally, it’s best to use Bambu PETG-CF filament or FlashForge Carbon Fiber PETG – both of which I have had achieved excellent, flawless prints. Carbon fiber filament is actually quite easy to print with and adds an excellent element of rigidness and durability and has a neat sheen to it that looks good in a vehicle. The models are set to print at a layer height of 0.17mm, which I find to be a good layer height balancing strength and hiding layer lines. PAINTING TIPS to MATCH YOUR INTERIOR COLORMy Gen 2 1995 Toyota 4Runner has the “tan oak” interior color. The OEM color is hard to find, but I found a spray can of Glidden Master Finish All Surface Satin spray paint in a color called “Chocolate Pretzel”. It is a 99% match! I recommend going the spray paint match because finding filament to match is impossible, IMHO. I am not sure about the gray interior Toyota Color – you’ll have to experiment with that.Apply 3-5 light coats of spray paint – don’t worry of the first coat covers the color of the filament – it’s best to go light vs heavy on the first few coats. I found that the satin finish of the paint I chose was a tad shiny, so I applied a few coats of clear matte spray paint (not acrylic) to take off some of the shine and add some protection to the paint color itself. THE ACCESSORY SWITCH COVERS SHOULD FIT THESE TOYOTA MODELSThis switch cover is almost ubiquitous in Toyota and Lexus vehicle interior design and is used in these models from 1983 through to today. Be sure to measure your accessory slot to ensure the models I re-engineered fit your vehicle. If not, its easy to adjust the sizing in Bambu Studio.4runnerAvalonCamryCelicaCorollaEchoGen 1 PickupsHighlanderLand CruiserLX450PaseoPickupPreviaRav4ScionSequoiaTacomaTercelTundraReplaces current Toyota OEM Part Numbers:3201055539-32010-C055539-2008055539-04040-B355539-04040-B355539-20080-B355539-32010-B355539-12130-B4SUPERCEDED PART NUMBERS55539-01060-E0, 55539-01060-J0, 55539-03010, 55539-06010-B0, 55539-12120-B0, 55539-12120-B1, 55539-12120-B2, 55539-12120-C0, 55539-12120-E2, 55539-12120-J0, 55539-12120-K0, 55539-12130-B0, 55539-12130-B1, 55539-12130-B2, 55539-12130-B7, 55539-12130-B8, 55539-12130-E3, 55539-20030-01, 55539-20030-02, 55539-20030-04, 55539-20030-05, 55539-20030-06, 55539-20030-13, 55539-20030-14, 55539-20030-42, 55539-20030-B2, 55539-20030-E0, 55539-20030-J0, 55539-20080-03, 55539-20080-23, 55539-20080-B1, 55539-20080-B2, 55539-20080-B3, 55539-20080-B4, 55539-20080-B6, 55539-20080-B7, 55539-20080-E0, 55539-20080-E3, 55539-20080-P0, 55539-24010-01, 55539-24010-02, 55539-24010-04, 55539-24010-06, 55539-24010-10, 55539-24010-12, 55539-24010-13, 55539-24010-14, 55539-24010-15, 55539-24010-26, 55539-24010-30, 55539-24010-44, 55539-24010-52, 55539-24010-54, 55539-32010, 55539-32010-01, 55539-32010-03, 55539-32010-04, 55539-32010-05, 55539-32010-11, 55539-32010-13, 55539-32010-15, 55539-32010-16, 55539-32010-23, 55539-32010-25, 55539-32010-26, 55539-32010-34, 55539-32010-35, 55539-32010-40, 55539-3201 Good Luck and post your final prints!
